Matt Ryan wasn't a Comic-Con newbie this year, but the star of NBC's upcoming series Constantine took the experience to a different level last month in San Diego. The Welsh actor, who describes his experience as "just wow," attended the geek heaven convention last year for the video game Assassin's Creed IV: Black Flag, for which he'd done the motion capture for the character of Edward Kenway. But this year, as the star of the highly anticipated adaptation of the cult comic book hit Hellblazer, he was under a much brighter spotlight.
"There were the billboards and the buses and the fans," Ryan reports of the ubiquitous marketing campaign for the series. "All the hardcore fans were there; some with Constantine's signature trenchcoat and cigarette."
Here's an exclusive look at NBC's "Day in the Life" video following Ryan around Comic-Con (including a stop on the TV Guide Magazine yacht). Constantine premieres Friday, Oct. 24 at 10/9c.
