ABC Plots Reunion Between Vacation Stars Chevy Chase and Beverly D'Angelo

Former Community co-star Chevy Chase is looking to return to primetime and reunite with an old friend. ABC is developing a project with Chase and his Vacationco-star Beverly D'Angelo for the 2015-2016 TV season.

Deals have just closed with Chase and D'Angelo for the show, which is being developed by executive producer Aaron Kaplan. But a writer and studio have not yet been attached, which means there's no script yet.

Last year Variety reported that Chase and D'Angelo were in talks to briefly reprise their roles as Clark and Ellen Griswold in an updated Vacation reboot (which is set to star Ed Helms and Christina Applegate). The duo last year also appeared in commercials for Old Navy with various Vacation cast members.

Chase left Community last year but showed up in the show's season opener via a surprise cameo. D'Angelo also appears in CBS' upcoming Friends With Better Lives and had a recurring role on Entourage. Together, Chase and D'Angelo appeared in the Vacation sequels European Vacation, Christmas Vacation and Vegas Vacation.
