Amazon has released the first teaser for Season 2 of its Emmy-winning series Transparent, and announced some heavy-hitting guest stars to boot.

Anjelica Huston and Cherry Jones will appear in the sophomore season, which will premiere on Dec. 11 on Amazon Video.

The season kicks off with Sarah (Amy Landecker) and Tammy's (Melora Hardin) wedding - but surprise, surprise, their honeymoon period is short-lived. Meanwhile, Maura (Jeffrey Tambor) mistakenly thinks that the hardest part of her transition is behind her, and Josh (Jay Duplass) navigates fatherhood with his prodigal son Colton. And Ali (Gaby Hoffmann) reconnects with Syd (Carrie Brownstein), as well as a new feminist mentor.

Jeffrey Tambor opens up about playing Maura Pfefferman on Amazon's Transparent

"Season 2 is wild! Now that the bubble wrap is off, it's time for the whole family to transition," said creator Jill Soloway said in a statement. "Our Pfeffermans realize they must give up their disguises, unspoken arrangements and secrets. By exploring their shared history and legacy, they come to understand that you can't go forward without knowing where you come from. Ultimately, everyone will open their hearts, advertise their desires, and test those notoriously wobbly boundaries as each Pfefferman tries their hardest to come out - as themselves."

Amazon has already renewed Transparent for a third season, which is expected to premiere in 2016. Check out the Season 2 teaser here:
