And inks an overall deal with Jill Soloway
Amazon Studios has renewed its award-winning series Transparentfor a third season, before the second season has even gotten a premiere date.
In addition, Amazon has inked an overall deal with Transparent creator Jill Soloway, under which she will develop additional television projects exclusively for Amazon Prime.
Thus far, the show has picked up a Golden Globe for Best Musical or Comedy, and star Jeffrey Tambor won a Golden Globe for Best Actor in a Musical or Comedy.
"I am so thrilled that I get to share more of the Pfeffermans' story with the world," Soloway said in a statement. "We are all so in love with watching them change and grow. I am blown away by the creative freedom Amazon gives me and I can't wait to reveal where this journey is going to take us."

Season 2 of Transparent, which is currently in production, will reportedly incorporate Caitlyn Jenner's recent coming out as transgender. Soloway will continue to serve as showrunner under her new deal.
Season 3 will premiere in 2016.
