Dean McDermott, the husband of Tori Spelling, has checked into rehab less than a month after he was accused of cheating on her, Peoplereports.
"I am truly sorry for the mistakes I have made and for the pain I've caused my family," McDermott, 47, said in a statement. "I take full responsibility for my actions and have voluntarily checked myself into a treatment center to address some health and personal issues. I am grateful to be getting the help I need so I can become the husband and father my family deserves."
Report: Dean McDermott accused of cheating on Tori Spelling
McDermott is receiving treatment, but is allowed to leave the facility to visit their four children at home.
In December, McDermott was accused of cheating on Spelling with a 28-year-old woman in Toronto. The allegation followed several reports earlier last year that they were headed towards divorce. However, Spelling wrote an open letter to Star last March denying the rumors. In the post, Spelling wrote that upon seeing Star's report of a split, she told her children, "Daddy and I are very happy and in love. There will be no divorce and all of us will remain together as a family."
McDermott and Spelling married in 2006. He also has one son, Jack, from his first marriage to Mary Jo Eustace.
