In past seasons, the off-camera lives of the ladies have seemed far more interesting than the ones portrayed on the show. But this season, MTV promises to cover the topics that have filled the tabloids, including Heidi's numerous plastic surgeries and Kristin's rumored drug problem. In fact, both are addressed in the sixth — and final — season premiere, which finds Heidi — and her brand new face — heading home to Colorado, and Kristin celebrating the Super Bowl in Miami, where her hard partying becomes a concern to her cast mates. — Karen Andzejewicz
American Idol

The Urban legend wasn't to be believed, after all. In last week's inspiring "Idol Gives Back" installment, the tale of Tim Urban came to a close when the charming, perpetually smiling contestant was booted from the show. But, as always, the show must go on. It'll be a little bit country, a little bit pop tonight when the still-standing half dozen perform the tunes of country songstress Shania Twain, who also serves as their musical mentor. Above all else, the singers sure hope their performances won't be Twain wrecks. — Dean Maurer

That's the question Alicia is faced with as she goes head-to-head in court with her former boss Jonas Stern (Kevin Conway), who bolted from her firm and took a considerable number of clients with him. Specifically, should Alicia use personal information she knows about Stern to aid her case? It's great to see a lawyer debating an ethical dilemma. — Tim Holland
Dancing with the Stars

Throughout this season, fans were wondering if Kate Gosselin's low judges' scores would translate into her going home, but the fan vote kept saving her. Well she definitely won't be voted out tonight, because she was given the boot last week. But who's going to follow in her footsteps? In addition to tonight's elimination, Melissa Etheridge sings "Come to My Window" and Fearless Love," and Spanish flamenco guitarist Benise performs "Salsa Salsa." — Jennifer Sankowski

ESPN's superb 30th anniversary documentary series rehashes the curious career of Ricky Williams since 2003, when he first violated the NFL's substance-abuse policy. In Run Ricky Run, directors Sean Pamphilon and Royce Toni chronicle the Dolphins running back's ongoing search for enlightenment (in 2004, he abandoned the Miami high life for a Spartan Australian adventure), while presenting multiple viewpoints on a complicated athlete whose image went up in smoke long ago to most observers. It's a well-timed shot at redemption for Williams following his surprising return to form on the field last season. — Roger Leister

Perennial troublemaker Naomi is finally made to pay for her most recent sin with a sentence of community service and a public apology, but will anyone be paying attention? These kids have other things on their minds: Silver is meeting Teddy's movie-star father (Ryan O'Neal) for the first time; Liam and his daddy (Scott Patterson) are trying to bond; and Dixon is digging himself into gambling debt. Things are cooking for the adults, too: Debbie and Harry's marital problems come to the fore after Debbie makes a confession. — Rhoda Charles
