Will Kim Raver return to 24 since ABC didn't pick up her new show? — BrightEyez
MATT: I see where you're going with this. Since Season 8 is set in New York City, you're hoping Jack and Audrey will rendezvous, Sleepless in Seattle-style, atop the Empire State Building. Well, put a pin in that dream for now. For starters, you should be with me in wanting Jack with Renee, not Audrey. Beyond that, ABC's Inside the Box pilot is undergoing retooling/technically still in play, so Raver might not exactly be available. But one Kim you can plan on returning is Jack's daughter — sources tell me Elisha Cuthbert has already filmed scenes for Day 8's first few hours.

90210: Trevor Donovan to Play "Teddy" | Today's News: Our Take | 6/30/2009
Remember that guy we exclusively revealed would be Ethan's replacement on 90210? Well, here's what he looks like!
His name is Trevor Donovan, and you might recognize him from a stint on Days of Our Lives as bad boy Jeremy Horton or from his days as an Abercrombie and Fitch model (Google will help you out if you need the photographic evidence, pervs).
Producers have tapped Donovan to play suave, charming Teddy, who is a tennis prodigy and the son of a movie star. Teddy sounds like what Steve Sanders was supposed to be, before they cast Ian Ziering and then they were like: OK, he'll be the funny one!

CW Premiere Plan Features Tree Hill Time Swap, Smallville Delay | Today's News: Our Take | 6/17/2009
The CW is taking page from last year's fall playbook by kicking off early and with the premiere of 90210. The network's rollout plan also features a surprise or two.
Annie, Naomi and the gang's adventures will continue Tuesday, Sept. 8, at 8 pm/ET. Leading out of 90210 will be — déjà vu alert! — the premiere of the new Melrose Place.
Also of note on the CW's schedule is a time-slot swap for ... read more 30 Comments

I only have one question about the NCIS finale: Is Cote de Pablo returning to the show next season? — B.C.
MATT: Why, did it look like Ziva was on death's doorstep in that secretly filmed torture scene? If so, think back to what NCIS boss Shane Brennan said about that grim cliff-hanger: Come September, "all will be revealed and you will be surprised. It will come at you from left field." (But, in a word: Yes. Sources whisper to me that Cote will be back.) Bonus buzzlet: Season 6 arrives on DVD Aug. 25!
Please tell us the rumors aren't true, and that Desperate Housewives isn't going with a melodramatic miscarriage storyline for Lynette. — Steph
MICKEY: Egads, this is morbid, Steph, but let's retrace our steps: Marc Cherry has said that he thinks a mother losing a child would be ... read more 48 Comments

Any scoop to get us Mer-Der fans through the dog days of summer? Perhaps some "baby talk" about Grey's writing in Ellen Pompeo's pregnancy? — Hillary
MATT: Both Chyler Leigh and I are of the mind that Grey's Anatomy would be hard-pressed to accommodate Pompeo's pregnancy, if only because of the timing. "As far as I know they are not [writing it in]," Leigh told me, pointing out that by the time the ABC serial resumes production, "Ellen will be, like, seven months [along]." The only way I see it happening — and at least one source allows, "It could go either way" — is if Season 6 picks up five or six months after the recent finale. Such a jump would also allow poor George time to heal and look like recast Eddie Cibrian. (I kid!)
If Fox is serious about Fringe (and aren't we all), why is it forcing it to compete against CSI, Grey's Anatomy and The Office on Thursdays? — Anita
MICKEY: At first blush, moving Fringe to such a powerhouse night would appear to be a suicide mission. But Fox entertainment prez Kevin Reilly ... read more 80 Comments
