It's been 10 years since we last checked in on the residents at 4616 Melrose Place, and evidently the scandal and intrigue never left. Within the first 10 minutes of this anticipated reboot, someone is stabbed in the back — literally — and found floating dead in that infamous courtyard pool. Before long, everyone is a suspect. Reprising their roles from the original are Laura Leighton and Thomas Calabro as Sydney Andrews and Dr. Michael Mancini, respectively. New cast members include Ashlee Simpson-Wentz and Shaun Sipos. — Karen Andzejewicz
Get Schooled: You Have the Right

The Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation has teamed up with Viacom to kick off its "Get Schooled" initiative, which is designed to draw attention to the need for reform of America's public-school system. In tonight's special, airing simultaneously across all Viacom channels, three young professionals — a music director for Kelly Clarkson, an assistant account director working with LeBron James and a speechwriter for Barack Obama — share their stories of success. The goal is to show the importance of perseverance in education and the amazing places that it can lead. — Brie Hearn

A lot can happen during those post-summer-school days when everybody hangs at the beach club making new friends (and shunning old ones). The action is surfside as the second season starts, and the 90210 gang is a little older, a little more experienced and a lot more confused. Annie is still trying to fit into this West Coast world while Dixon is just trying to figure things out with Silver. Navid, however, is thinking positively about his future with Adrianna, which, of course, means it's the perfect time for an ex-boyfriend to show up. — Rhoda Charles

ABC is interrupting its regularly scheduled run of Primetime: The Outsiders to present an interview with Jon Gosselin, a new outsider to his own very large family, who might spill a family secret or two tonight (or at least whine about Kate). Another segment assesses the sad case of an 88-year-old woman diagnosed with dementia; the two antiques dealers to whom she bequeathed her crumbling Dallas mansion (she called them "her boys"); and the woman's daughter, who says the men took advantage of her. — Paul Droesch
Curb Your Enthusiasm: It's Not a Reunion Show But It's the Closest You'll Get

How much fun could there be at a reunion where nothing happens? Well, when it involves the gang from Seinfeld, probably plenty. There's been a lot of buzz about the fab four of Jerry Seinfeld, Julia Louis-Dreyfus, Jason Alexander and Michael Richards getting back together during the seventh season of Curb Your Enthusiasm (which premieres Sept. 20 at 9 pm/ET), and tonight's special shows how it all came about. To bring you up to speed, the bungled hit on Opie that Clay ordered has left SAMCRO in no small amount of disarray, and cleaning up the mess will take no small amount of effort, beginning in tonight's second-season opener, when Opie returns to the clubhouse not knowing who tried to kill him. There's a new external threat as well: A white supremacist (Adam Arkin) with more polish (and a better fashion sense) than you might expect arrives in Charming determined to take down SAMCRO. — Paul Droesch
