Sharknado 2 Sets Record With Nearly 4 Million Viewers

We have no one to blame but ourselves. Sharknado 2: The Second One, the follow-up to last summer's surprisingly popular-for-all-the-wrong-reasons Sharknado, set a record as the network's most watched original movie ever, the network announced Thursday.

Sharknado 2: The Second One, the follow-up to last summer's surprisingly popular-for-all-the-wrong-reasons Sharknado, set a record as the network's most watched original movie ever, the network announced Thursday.

Apparently, a whopping 3.9 million viewers tuned in to watch Tara Reid attach a buzzsaw to the stump where her hand used to be, and that makesSharknado 2 the most popular TV movie ever. The sequel was up 190 percent from the original in the adults 18-49 demographic.

In addition, Syfy estimates that the movie is responsible for roughly 1 billion (yes, with a "b") Twitter impressions. That's way, way more than say, Game of Thrones' Red Wedding episode or even the Breaking Bad finale.

Once again, we have no one to blame but ourselves.
