Disney Channel's Shake It Up travels to Japan for the special event Shake It Up: Made in Japan, which premieres on Friday, August 17 at 8/7c. In the episode (part of a three-part finale), Rocky and CeCe (Zendaya and Bella Thorne) fly to Japan to be part of a dance video production. The friends, however, realize they have very different goals when it comes to exploring Japan verse plotting their dance careers.

The Blue Man Group performs in the episode, which focuses on Tokyo culture, including "J-Pop" music. The show will also include three new original songs performed by Zendaya and Thorne. Leading up to the episode, Disney Channel's website will feature activities and games tied to Made in Japan on August 3, as well as an extended preview on August 10.
