Contrary to reports, no settlement has been made in Madonna and Guy Ritchie's divorce, the singer's rep said in a statement.
"I will not be commenting on the various reports regarding the divorce or of the settlement which has not been finalized," the singer's publicist, Liz Rosenberg, told The Associated Press.
Various British papers reported on Sunday that the exes, who confirmed their split last Wednesday, had signed off on a deal regarding their estimated $525 million fortune, four properties, and the custody of their three children, Lourdes, Madonna's 12-year-old daughter with Carlos Leon, Rocco, 8, and David, 3.
The former super-couple adopted David from Malawi in what turned into a drawn-out two-year process that was only finalized earlier this year. Although he has previously approved of the adoption, David's biological father, Yohane Banda, now feels the child may be "better off back with" him in light of the Ritchies' high-profile split.
"This is a new and terrible thing to happen to him," he told The Sun. "He is only three years old and he has been through so much …This woman Madonna told me herself that David was beautiful and made her happy and she promised to take good care of him. Now I see him in a big bewildering crowd in the street with people pushing and shoving, and many cameras around, and without a mother and father to hold his hand. I'm feeling bad for him."
