Saturday Night Live Enlists Stormy Daniels for Cameo-Filled Cold Open

Saturday Night Live's cold open was one of the most star-studded yet as the show lampooned the legal dilemma(s) of Donald Trump and his personal attorney-slash-"fixer" Michael Cohen. Ben Stiller returned as the latter--unfortunately without Robert De Niro's Robert Mueller-by-way-of-Jack Byrnes--but he was just one cameo of many: there were familiar faces aplenty as Cohen and the rest of the Trump team made the phone call rounds to discuss the latest news.

The call list included Alec Baldwin as Trump, per usual; special guest Martin Short as Trump's embattled former physician Harold Bornstein; Chris Redd and Alex Moffat as FBI surveillance agents listening in on Cohen's calls; Kate McKinnon as Trump's latest lawyer Rudy Giuliani; Heidi Gardner as Fox News personality Ainsley Earhardt; Cecily Strong as Melania Trump; Leslie Jones as Omarosa Manigault; Beck Bennett as Mike Pence; Scarlett Johansson and Jimmy Fallon as Ivanka Trump and Jared Kushner, respectively; and, last but certainly not least, Stephanie Clifford, a.k.a. Stormy Daniels, as herself.

Daniels' appearance was the biggest surprise of the segment. The adult film actress, who is currently suing Trump and Cohen over an NDA regarding an alleged affair with the then-real estate mogul as well as defamation, has been a central figure in many of the latest national headlines, as her allegations against the POTUS and Cohen have ripple effects in the justice system.

The cameo gave her the opportunity to tell Trump in a roundabout way what it would take to settle her dispute, which is a question many have asked while watching the suit unfold (answer: "a resignation), as well as to provide timely puns like, "I know you don't believe in climate change, but a storm's a-comin' baby."

Another highlight from the show came by way of Kanye West and A Quiet Place. Featuring host Donald Glover, the segment addressed West's recent outpouring of support for the president and the resulting outreach by his famous friends to do "damage control."

Talk about a killer social media presence.

One celebrity who was referenced in the segment, Chrissy Teigen, certainly seemed to enjoy the shout out.
