Yes, the subject of milking came up

Saturday Night Live's John Mulaney-hosted episode featured quite a few instant highlights, from his stand-up monologue to that Les Miserables-themed lobster skit to Kate McKinnon's debut as embattled Fox News host Laura Ingraham on Weekend Update. The buzziest bit of the night arrived up front, however, as Robert De Niro and Ben Stiller arrived for a Meet the Parents reunion by way of Special Counsel Robert Mueller and Donald Trump's beleaguered "fixer"-slash-attorney Michael Cohen.

Recalling the iconic scene in which De Niro's domineering dad character, a former CIA operative, gives his future son-in-law a polygraph test to get the scoop on his worthiness to marry his daughter, De Niro's Mueller grills Stiller's Cohen about those alleged hush payments he made to the POTUS' former lover(s).

Apart from echoing the latest items on the national news, the segment also gives a few clever winks to the comedy franchise that brought these two together in the first place. From Stiller's awkward suggestion that cats can be milked (watch out Mr. Jinx!) to De Niro's insistence that they'll be catching all those "Fockers," it's a fun moment indeed for fans of the 2000 comedy.

Now, the only question is, will De Niro come back for regular guest spots as the Special Counsel, or will McKinnon be expected to resume the role when the dust settles from this cold open?
