It's official: Ryan Seacrest has landed another TV hosting gig. The American Idol host has signed on to emcee NBC's new game show Million Second Quiz, the network announced Monday. He'll also act as executive producer.

"When people see Ryan Seacrest, whether at the Emmys, the Oscars or New Year's Eve, he is at the epicenter of national events," Paul Telegdy, NBC's president of alternative and late night programming, said in a statement. "He is a broadcaster, in all the traditional sense, but also in the most contemporary — he is an accomplished host of live TV and a master of social media and pop culture. This makes him perfect for The Million Second Quiz."

Million Second Quiz will air nightly from Sept. 9 to Sept. 19 (with the exception of Sunday, Sept. 15), and promises the largest guaranteed prize in game show history. Contestants will compete head-to-head in nonstop trivia rounds in a massive hourglass-shaped structure in midtown Manhattan for a million seconds — 11 days, 13 hours, 46 minutes and 40 seconds. For each round, one player sits in the "money chair" and answers trivia questions against a rival. Each second a player holds the money chair is worth $10. People who want to participate against the person sitting in the money chair can physically come to the hourglass or answer questions online.

The show premieres Monday, Sept. 9 at 8/7c on NBC. Will you watch?
