Diagnosis: Breakup? All's not sunny for Hamptons doc Hank Lawson (Mark Feuerstein) and his rather coldhearted girlfriend, Dr. Emily Peck (Anastasia Griffith), on tonight's Royal Pains when the two physicians clash. "They are going to have their biggest fight yet," reveals executive producer Andrew Lenchewski. "It's going to start as something medical that illuminates the larger divide between them, and the types of relationships that they each want to be in."
And leave it to Hank's dear old dad, Eddie (Henry Winkler), to further complicate matters when, according to Lenchewski, "he tries to insert himself in the relationship with both comic and dramatic consequences."
Ayyy, that's not cool! But it could leave the door open for Hank and Jill (Jill Flint) to get back together — an idea both characters flirted with when the series returned for the first of six new episodes on January 20. So will the exes revive their romance? Lenchewski says fans can expect Hank and Jill to "be back in their on-again, off-again swing of things."
As for Hank's lovable, goofball brother Evan (Paulo Costanzo), after having his first ever blowout last week with main squeeze Paige (Brooke D'Orsay), he finds himself in another potentially sticky situation with her father, the General (Bob Gunton). During a hush-hush meeting with some of his political cronies, says Lenchewski, "Evan, being in the wrong place at the wrong time as usual, gets stuck behind a trap door, and hilarity ensues from there."
Royal Pains airs Thursdays at 9/8c on USA Network.
