Rosie O'Donnell to Appear on The Apprentice?

Rosie O’Donnell in Donald Trump’s boardroom? We wouldn’t bet on it. But NBC Entertainment co-chairman Ben Silverman told reporters at the Television Critics Association press tour he would personally extend an invitation to O’Donnell to be part of the next “celebrity” edition of The Apprentice announced for next season. Silverman is hoping to goose the ratings of the faded reality franchise, which will have well-known contestants playing for charity. He said The Donald has told him that Rosie is welcome to join the competition. After all, what’s a little ugly feud when ratings are at stake? But Silverman’s co-chairman Marc Graboff acknowledged that NBC has had discussions with O’Donnell about her next TV project, whether it’s in syndication, prime time or daytime. “It was a very general discussion,” he said. — Reporting by Stephen Battaglio
