The Millers Casts Roseanne Barr as Andy Richter's Mom

Roseanne Barr is returning to the small screen to play the TV mom of a famous face.

The former TV star has signed on to play Andy Richter's mom on The Millers, TVLine.com reports.

Barr's character, Darla, is described as the "hypercritical" mother of Doug (Richter), who works with Nathan (Will Arnett) at the local TV station.

The gig represents a change of heart for Barr, who declared back in November that she was "never going to work in television again" following two failed development deals and her short-lived 2011 Lifetime reality series, Roseanne's Nuts.

In recent years, Barr has guest-starred on The Office and Portlandia.
