Revolution Burning Questions: The Cause of the Blackout Revealed!

Monday's Revolutionanswered the question we've all been waiting for: What caused the blackout? So let's not waste any time before digging into the seven burning questions from "The Song Remains the Same."

Revolution: Can Jason be trusted?
Call 911, cause Neville just got burned! The library was open on Revolution tonight. Randall was throwing shade at Neville (Giancarlo Esposito) like a regular Drag Race contestant. The militia captain may be a lot of things, but incompetent is not one of them. Poor guy. First he lost his son, now he's lost his respect!
What caused the blackout? We knew it was coming, but I had no clue the answer to the blackout would come so early in the episode! But let me get this straight. There are a bunch of tiny, virus-sized computers — a couple hundred quadrillion to be exact — in the very air we breathe, and only have two commands: absorb electricity and replicate? And according to creator Eric Kripke, this is actually plausible?! That's not terrifying at all...
Can things get any worse for Neville? Neville rocking out to "All Night Long" by Lionel Richie was utter perfection. Though, it's not exactly what would get me pumped up for a super-secret mission (that's more Roisin Murphy or my girl Britney Spears' territory). Too bad his jam session blew up in his face. Literally. After being dissed by Randall and Monroe (David Lyons), Neville seems to be having a reallybad week. Once he's captured, Miles is all set to torture Neville for months on end, but Rachel (Elizabeth Mitchell) would prefer to kill him as soon as possible. (He did kill her husband and her son, so can you really blame her?) Luckily for the rebels, Charlie (Tracy Spiridakos) was on hand with her new Miles-inspired dead eyes to give her mom a stern talking to. Man, is this family effed up!

What did I do wrong? Neville comes face-to-face with his son for the first time since he abandoned the militia, but he's not interested in "sticking it to your old man" like Neville assumed. It turns out, all Jason (JD Pardo) ever cared about was making his papa proud, and all Neville wanted was for Jason to be strong enough to survive. Jason wasn't buying it, but rather chalked it up as just another manipulation technique. I, on the other hand, totally bought it. But I'm a sucker for Esposito, even if they were only crocodile tears.
Did Jason show his true colors? Jason had us fooled for a second. After Neville mentioned Julia's life was in danger, Jason quickly released his father to help him finish the mission and save his mother's life. Only, Jason proved to be more trustworthy than we thought. Turns out the entire thing was a ploy to find out where Neville was taking the diamonds! Oh, you cunning little boy. I think that earned you at least a non-scathing look from your true love, Charlie.
Neville's for sure going to Hell, right? The man killed a priest tonight! There's absolutely no way to atone for that, right? But at least it was for a good cause. Neville risks it all to run back to Philly and convince Julia to go on the run with him. Do you think Neville's recent excommunication from the militia means he might join the rebels one day? Or at least help them out a little, in an "enemy of my enemy is my friend" situation?
It's Tower time, y'all! Upon finding out Monroe has nuclear weapons, Rachel abandons her daughter (again) to try and save the world (again).  Revolution's mother-of-the-year decides to cross all the territories in order to go reach the Tower. That's right. The very place she told Aaron it was too dangerous to go. And she chooses as her companion... none other than Google boy himself! She has all the rebels at her disposal and she chooses the one who was so useless he abandoned his wife because he thought just having him around was going to kill her. Great plan, guys. I'm sure this will work out real well.
