VIDEO: Rebecca Black Performs "Friday" on the Tonight Show; Says Song Was Her Second Choice

YouTube sensation Rebecca Black almost didn't recorder her hit song. On Tuesday night's Tonight Show, Black told Jay Leno that the original song the studio sent her was about being a guy's superhero. Black couldn't relate and asked for — and got — something else: "Friday." "It's about having fun with your friends and being a teenager. I thought it was different because it's not indecent," she said.

Although the budding singer says she initially cried at all the hateful comments, she now laughs at most of the parodies. And with celebs like Ryan Seacrest, Simon Cowell and Nicole Richie on her side, she says she's feeling much better.

In the videos below, Black performs her surprise hit song, from which she's donating the money to relief efforts in Japan.
