Modern Family led the way Wednesday, leading ABC to a tie with Fox for the night.
The comedy drew 11.9 million viewers and a 4.7 in the adults 18-to-49 demographic, rising slightly from its last new episode two weeks ago. Suburgatory (6.9 million, 2.6) andNashville (5.6 million, 1.8) were up and flat, respectively. ABC kicked off the night with A Charlie Brown Christmas, which delivered 8.9 million viewers and a 2.9, up from last year's airing.

The X Factor nabbed 8.1 million viewers and a 2.8 for Fox.CBS was tops in viewership, with its whole lineup improving upon last week's low Thanksgiving Eve numbers.On NBC, Christmas in Rockefeller Center hit a four-year high with 9.1 million viewers and a 2.1.8 p.m.
