Ratings: American Idol, Modern Family Fall

American Idol continued to fall, but still led the way Wednesday.
The Top 8 performance show averaged 12 million viewers and a 3.1 in the adults 18-to-49 demographic, down five-tenths from last week.
TV Scorecard: What's renewed? What's canceled?
ABC was second for the night, thanks to the return of Modern Family (9 million, 3.2), although the sitcom hit a season low. Modern Family boosted Suburgatory (5.4 million, 1.9), which grew four-tenths after a series low last week. Nashville (5.1 million, 1.5) returned down a tenth, while The Middle (6.8 million, 1.8) and the season finale of The Neighbors (5.5 million, 1.5) were down and up, respectively.
Survivor (9.2 million, 2.4), CBS' only new show of the night, dropped two-tenths.
NBC was up across the board.

Over on USA, Psych celebrated its Clue-inspired 100th episode with 2.9 million viewers tuning in. The episode, which allowed viewers to vote live on which ending would air, was the No. 1 scripted original series on cable in all demos.
