Rosewood's resident liars are suiting up, Edwardian-style, for Pretty Little Liars' annual Halloween episode  (Oct. 22 on ABC Family). And according to Ian Harding, who plays Ezra (aka the newly revealed A), the hour will find the girls up to their corsets in scares.

"The last Halloween episode was more Hitchcockian. This is going to play like a horror movie," says Harding, who learned back in February that clean-cut Ezra was going to take a dark turn. "I lied to everybody! It was great!" he says about hiding the Aug. 27 summer-finale twist (another big shocker: Alison is alive!).

Harding is even cagier about what the possibly evil English teacher has planned for the foursome (Lucy Hale, Troian Bellisario, Ashley Benson and Shay Mitchell) when they attend the costume soiree: "It's downright scary." Which is fitting, since the episode will also launch PLL's supernatural-themed spinoff, Ravenswood. "It will not disappoint," he says. This may be the only time we trust A.
