The mystery of Ian's whereabouts on Pretty Little Liars may have been solved, but his death indicates A is behind every event in Rosewood.
In the clip below, Spencer, Emily, Aria and Hanna are surprised to hear from Officer Garrett Reynolds that Ian had been dead at least a week when the girls found him. So those text messages they thought they intercepted from Ian couldn't have really been from him. The PLLs share different reactions to the news:

The first season of Pretty Little Liars ended months ago, but when the show returns Tuesday (8/7c on ABC Family) it'll resume mere moments after last season's finale.
