Watch out, Scranton! There's a new Dunder Mifflin manager in town!
The Office wasted no time naming the new manager in Thursday's Season 8 premiere and, while it wasn't a complete shocker, it was a nice surprise for fans of the show after a summer of suspense. In the opening moments of the episode, it was revealed that Robert California (James Spader) had originally won the position of manager, but that he quickly turned around, went to Florida and convinced Jo to name him the new CEO of Sabre (a convenient, but funny way to write Kathy Bates out of the series now that she has her own gig). So who did new CEO Robert pick to lead the mid-size paper company into the post-Michael Scott (Steve Carell) era?
Andy Bernard (Ed Helms)!
Fall Preview: Get scoop on your favorite returning shows
Judging from his first episode with the new (fake) title, Andy's got a lot to learn about being the big man in charge. Luckily, it doesn't look like Robert will be heading down to Sabre headquarters in Florida anytime soon.
