Hudgens! Hudgens! Hudgens! Netflix has given the green light to a sequel to 2018's Vanessa Hudgens-starring holiday comedy The Princess Switch. The Hollywood Reporter broke the news. The Princess Switch: Switched Again, the second film in the Belgraviaverse, will go into production next month for a 2020 release.

Netflix confirmed the report on Twitter and gave some plot details: "In the sequel, Duchess Margaret unexpectedly inherits the throne & hits a rough patch with Kevin so it's up to Stacy to save the day before a new lookalike -- party girl Fiona -- foils their plans." All three of those women -- Duchess Margaret, Stacy, and Fiona -- will be played by Vanessa Hudgens, who also produces.

The first Princess Switch followed Stacy DeNovo, a baker from Chicago who, on a trip to the (fictional) nation of Belgravia with her business partner Kevin (Nick Sagar), realizes that she is a doppelgänger for Lady Margaret Delacourt, Duchess of Montenaro, who is engaged to Crown Prince Edward of Belgravia (Sam Palladio). Needing a break from her life, Margaret switches places with Stacy, and she and Kevin fall in love, while Stacy and Prince Edward do the same. In the end, Stacy marries the prince and becomes the Princess of Belgravia.
