Each of the seven webisodes, overseen by executive producers Liz Krueger, Jeff Lieber and Craig Shapiro, will give fans new insight into Nico's secretive duties and the questionable tactics he uses to get the job done. As of June 27, the webisodes will premiere each Wednesday night at thenicofiles.usanetwork.com following Necessary Roughness' east coast broadcast at 10/9c on USA.

"There's tons of stuff people don't know about Nico and this is an opportunity to reveal things that wouldn't necessarily be in the episodes," Cohen, who also directed one of the webisodes, tells TVGuide.com. "The webisodes are more about the lighter side of Nico. You learn things about him that you would never think that he is or that he does."

In addition to furthering Nico's story, the webisodes will also feature appearances by Hawks' wide receiver T.K. (Mehcad Brooks), trainer Matt (Marc Blucas) and Coach Parnell (Gregory Alan Williams)

"We chose to focus on this secretive Hawks' employee as it gives us a way to go beyond the hour-long broadcast creating the back-story of a character who seems to reside on the periphery, but has a big impact on the overall story," USA's executive vice president of marketing & digital, Alexandra Shapiro, said in a statement about the series, which is sponsored by Lincoln.

The venture is also interactive. During the webisodes, fans will also be tested on whether they know to how to operate like Nico. "Gut Checks" will ask viewers what to do in a sticky situation and after they answer, they will get immediate feedback from Nico.
