NCIS will return for a sixteenth season this fall on CBS, the network announced Friday.

Star and executive producer Mark Harmon signed a new deal that will reportedly keep him one of the highest-paid actors on TV. According to Forbes, Harmon earned $19 million from NCIS in 2017, which makes him the seventh highest-paid actor on TV, behind only Sofia Vergara and the principal cast of The Big Bang Theory.

NCIS has been the most-watched scripted drama series on television since 2009 and is the most-watched show worldwide.

Season 16 will be NCIS' first without star Pauley Perrette, who announced she would leaving at the end of Season 15 in October of last year. Harmon and David McCallum will be the only remaining original cast members.

The current season ends Tuesday, May 22 at 8/7c on CBS.

CBS has yet to renew its other NCIS shows, NCIS: Los Angeles and NCIS: New Orleans, but all signs point to renewals being on the way.
