NBC Orders Rosemary's Baby Miniseries
NBC has ordered a Rosemary's Baby miniseries, the network announced Tuesday. The four-hour project will be an adaptation of Ira Levin's 1967 book. "As we move into the event movie and miniseries space, Rosemary's Baby represents the kind of attention-getting, surprising project that will make noise for us," NBC Entertainment President Jennifer Salke said in a statement. "The story has been updated and moved to Paris, but it's faithful to the spirit of Ira Levin's classic novel. This is a compelling tale wonderfully told."

The project will be written by Scott Abbott (Introducing Dorothy Dandridge) and James Wong (American Horror Story). Oscar and Emmy nominee Agnieszka Holland will direct, and Joshua Maurer, Alix Witlin and David Stern will executive-produce. Casting will begin immediately, with production scheduled to begin in January in Paris.
Roman Polanski famously adapted Levin's story into a 1968 film starring Mia Farrow.
