Top Moments: Bones (Finally) Says "I Do" and Homeland Pulls a Fast One on Everyone

Our top moments of the week:
14. Best Power Move, Part 1: It's no secret that Chief Boden and State Fire Marshal consultant Gail McLeod have never seen eye-to-eye when it comes to managing 51 on Chicago Fire. However, after McLeod offers Boden early retirement, Boden suddenly decides not to fight it and hands in his resignation letter, clearing the way for Benny, aka Severide's dad, to take over as the new chief. Too bad Severide looks none-too-pleased about his dad's new gig. So will "Dad" suffice or should he start calling Benny "Chief"?
13. Best Revenge of the Nerds:  Arrow is a DC Comics fanboy (or -girl)'s dream. Not only does Lance offhandedly call the vigilante the Arrow for the first time, but fans get to hear the Canary cry and see her clock-tower hideout. But the CW series doesn't stop there. In addition to the Dollmaker being the villain of the week, Ra's al Ghul, Metamorpho and Amazo all get name-dropped and viewers get glances of Jean Loring and Sin. Can't. Stop. Geeking. Out.
12. Weirdest Move: After embarrassing himself in front of Jess, Nick, Winston and his ex, CeCe on New Girl, Schmidt announces that he is moving out so that he can be alone for a bit. As his roommates try to talk to him out of it, Schmidt takes his boxes and heads... across the hall to his own single bedroom loft, where he sits alone pretending to talk to Winston. And here we thought Winston was the crazy one...

11. Sweetest Dream: If Hotch had his druthers, he'd never wake up from his surgery on Criminal Minds. That's because he sees visions of his late wife Haley, not to mention The Reaper, while he's under and begs her not to let the dream end. Haley, though, tells him that he has to wake up and that he should "choose" to be happy with their son Jack and his new girlfriend Beth. "So don't screw it up," she says, as she takes off her wedding ring and gives it back to Hotch. "Goodbye, Aaron. And yes, I still love you too."
10. Best Performance: After weeks of avoiding singing whenever possible because of her post-car accident vocal troubles, Rayna is unexpectedly put on the spot on Nashville. While appearing at a local benefit concert to present Juliette with a surprise honor, Rayna gets the real surprise of a lifetime when fellow country star Luke Wheeler pretty much forces her to sing one of her oldies. Try as she might, Rayna can't get out of it and treads slowly and softly into rough waters as she tries to hide her vocal issues in front of a huge venue full of people. Not only does the crowd back her up — singing a whole verse of the song — but Rayna's voice actually comes through. How about an encore?

9. Best Discovery: Skye's true allegiance is finally uncovered on Marvel's Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D.! Just when it looks like she is really working for the Rising Tide to take down S.H.I.E.L.D., she reveals that she joined the hack-tivist group to find her parents. When the trail went cold with a file redacted by S.H.I.E.L.D., she infiltrated them in hopes of discovering her parents' true identities. Coulson lets her stick around, but whether she can earn back his trust is a whole other story.
8. Best Power Move, Part 2: In this episode, Ryan Murphy & Co. announce that this witch-centric season of American Horror Story: Coven is also about incest, voodoo infertility cures and... possibly bestiality? So it's saying something that Jessica Lange's story still steals all that (disgusting) thunder! When Fiona notices that up-and-coming witch Madison is developing new powers by the hour -- which could indicate that she is the next Supreme witch of the coven -- Fiona feigns deference... and then slits her throat, just like she did to her predecessor. So that's the end of Emma Roberts on AHS — or is it?

7. Deadliest Twist: The Mentalist eliminates another Red John suspect when Bob Kirkland reveals that he's on his own mission to capture the serial killer because his brother was a Red John devotee and was likely killed by him. And if that's not proof enough, Kirkland, who's arrested for torturing Jane, is killed by another Red John suspect, FBI agent Reede Smith! But before Smith pulls the trigger (seven times!), he confesses that he not only knows about the "Tiger Tiger" conspiracy Kirkland had brought up earlier, he's part of it. Smith is likely not Red John himself (that would really dull the hyped-up forthcoming reveal), so who of the remaining five is?
6. The Way We Were Award: Peyton Manning returns to Indianapolis for the first time since he signed with the Denver Broncos in 2012. Although the homecoming is awkward, since he's now playing against his longtime team the Colts, Indianapolis fans and the entire organization give Manning a rousing welcome back with signs and cheers as the stadium replays the many highlights from his 12 seasons as the Colts' quarterback on the Jumbotron. In a rare moment for the normally laser-focused Manning, he momentarily stops his warm-up and takes off his helmet as he looks around the stadium, bowing his head and waving to the fans before pointing to his heart. In the end, the Broncos lose their first game of the season, but something tells us that Manning wasn't sad to see his old team win.
5. She's Alive! Award: "Did you miss me?" With those four words, Pretty Little Liarsanswers the question that's been plaguing us for years: Alison DiLaurentis is alive! The second after she reveals herself, Ali disappears again (it's still not safe for her). But where does she go? Where has she been? And will she finally reveal who A. really is? Probably not, but at least we're one (major) step closer to finding out.
4. Best Detective Work: She may be getting ready to sign her exit package on The Good Wife, but Diane Lockhart hasn't left the Lockhart Gardner building just yet. After she's called back into the office for a lawsuit against the firm, she slowly starts putting together that Alicia might be leaving with Cary and the other fourth-years. In a move that would make Kalinda proud, Diane takes Sonya, one of her top clients, out for a drink and tells her that she knows that Alicia talked to her about leaving to confirm her suspicions. Sonya confirms the move, but the look on Diane's face is still one of shock and betrayal. Think that's a rough reaction? Wait till you see Sunday's episode.
3. Sexiest Costume: Stumped for a Halloween costume, ladies? You want something sexy, no? Well, Kristen Schaal has some suggestions. First, The Daily Show's senior women's issues correspondent thinks it's time to just cut to the chase. "Why don't we just show everyone what we mean when we put on those sexy kitty carrot nurse costumes, and take things to the obvious next level," she says, before unveiling her new costume, the Sexy Vagina. "What better way to get everyone thinking about sex than dressing up as the place where sex happens?" Finally some truth in advertising, right?
2. Craziest Twist: Homeland's latest twist threatens to make the audience doubt themselves as much as Carrie! After Carrie is mysteriously sprung from the mental hospital, she is once again approached by the representative of an Iranian official who wants Carrie to supply him with CIA secrets. Carrie reluctantly (and tearfully) agrees, but not without sneaking her way back to Saul's house to share the news. But not only does Carrie reveal her plan to work as a double agent, she also reveals to the audience that many of the plot twists of Season 3 — Saul throwing Carrie under the bus in his Senate testimony, Carrie being placed on a psychiatric hold, etc. — have all been part of a ruse to lure the Iranian out! "It worked, Saul," Carrie says, before collapsing in his arms. We know it's a show about spies and lies, but we're not sure what we can trust going forward.

1. Biggest Tearjerker: Say what you will about the long and winding road that led to the wedding of Bones' Booth and Brennan, but the simple ceremony is pitch-perfect. Not only are the crime-solvers' respective vows lovely and completely in character, but Brennan's also solves a mystery from the show's second (!) season. Revealing what she wrote in what she thought might be her final note while buried alive, Brennan tells Booth that, despite his exasperating irrationality and blind faith, he's made her life better by forcing her to look at the world differently. "If I ever get out of here, I will find the time and a place to tell you that you make my life messy and confusing, and unfocused and irrational... and wonderful," she reads from her letter, before looking at Booth and adding, "This is that time. This is that place." Can someone pass the Kleenex?
