Drew Barrymore and Jessica Lange are teaming up for HBO Films' adaptation of Grey Gardens, based on the 1975 documentary about Jackie O's kooky cousin and aunt that's already spawned a Broadway musical. No word yet on whether the pic will debut in theaters or on HBO. In somewhat less prestigious movie news, Steven Seagal has written himself a new starring vehicle, A Higher Form of Learning, which is going straight to DVD. In it, he plays a detective who globe-trots in pursuit of serial killers. What? You were expecting a gardener?

Per Variety, Drew Barrymore and Jessica Lange will star in Grey Gardens, a fact-based drama about two eccentric relatives of Jacqueline Kennedy.... MTV Films and Paramount are developing Midway Games' The Wheelman into a feature starring Vin Diesel.... Per the Hollywood Reporter, Jonathan Liebesman, the director of the upcoming Texas Chainsaw Massacre prequel, is in talks to helm New Line's remake of the original Friday the 13th, which — and I can't say I agree with this — will heavily feature Jason, and in his hockey mask no less. Hmmm, maybe those Daniel Craigophobes have the right idea....

Tammy Blanchard has got personality — or, to be more specific, more than a dozen of 'em. The Emmy winner (for her turn as a young Judy Garland in the TV-movie Life with Judy Garland) will follow in Sally Field's footsteps by taking the title role in CBS' upcoming remake of 1976's Sybil. Jessica Lange will play Sybil's psychiatrist (previously portrayed by Joanne Woodward).
