Exclusive: The Mindy Project Nets Kris Humphries for Guest Spot

Something tells us Kim Kardashian won't be tuning into The Mindy Project this season.

Her ex-husband, NBA player Kris Humphries, has signed on to guest-star on an upcoming episode of the Fox sophomore comedy, TVGuide.com has learned.

Humphries, 28, will play himself, and joins previously announced guest stars James Franco and Happy Endings' Adam Pally.

This will mark Humphries' first scripted series gig, and one of his first TV appearances since his time on Keeping Up with the Kardashians and its spin-off, Kourtney & Kim Take New York, when he was with Kardashian.

After meeting the reality star in 2010, the couple tied the knot in a lavish wedding ceremony that aired as a two-part special, Kim's Fairytale Wedding. However, the E! cameras were also there to capture the beginning of their marital problems. Kardashian famously filed for divorce in October 2011 after just 72 days of marriage. Their divorce was finalized in June.

The new season of The Mindy Project premieres on Tuesday, Sept. 17 at 9:30/8:30c on Fox. Are you excited for Humphries to stop by?
