Melissa Rycroft to Join Bachelor Pad

Being jilted on The Bachelor has proven to be a great thing for Melissa Rycroft as she's lined up another gig, this time as co-host of the spinoff Bachelor Pad. She will join Bachelor host Chris Harrison as 19 former contestants will live together in the same house, compete in challenges for a chance to win $250,000, and, most likely, hook up. Harrison told TVGuide.com that because there's not just one Bachelor or Bachelorette at the center of the ABC show, the 27-year-old Rycroft will step in to help with competitions and rose ceremonies.

"She's going to be awesome. She's been a friend of mine since she's been on the show and she's obviously a fan favorite," Harrison added.

During the finale of The Bachelor Season 13, Jason Mesnick proposed to Rycroft but at the After the Final Rose special he dumped her for runner-up Molly Malaney. Rycroft went on to marry former flame Tye Strickland, competed in Season 8 of Dancing with the Stars and landed the role of special contributor for Good Morning America.
