Madonna celebrated the Jewish holiday Purim in a non-traditional way this weekend, opting to dress up as Game of Thrones' Daenerys Targaryen (played by Emilia Clarke).

"'Happy Purim!!!!! All Hail All Queens! #certainty' — Madonna," the singer wrote on her Facebook page Sunday, along with a photo of herself dressed in full Mother of Dragons garb. Her costume was completed by two miniature dragons on her shoulders.

Purim is an annual celebration that commemorates the deliverance of the Jewish people in the ancient Persian Empire, where a plot was underway to destroy them. Madonna was raised Catholic, but converted to the Jewish belief system Kabbalah in 1997.
