Lisa Rinna has undergone surgery to reduce her upper lip.
"My lips started to define who I am," Rinna told People. "That bothered me."
Rinna, 47, had the surgery in August, a year after she revealed that she had silicone injected into to her upper lip in 1986.
She says she took a big hit for being honest. "It gave everyone online permission to lambaste me. It hurt my feelings," she says.
On Tuesday's Today show, Rinna told Meredith Vieira that she "never thought" she could do anything about her infamous pucker. But while filming her new TVLand reality series Harry Loves Lisawith husband Harry Hamlin, she discovered there was a procedure.
"I fell in love with those lips. I kissed those lips for 18 years," Hamlin said. "There's nothing wrong with them, I can tell you that."
Rinna, who has six more months of healing to go,says she's happy her lips have no more lumps.
"It's a work in progress," she says, "but I feel fantastic."
