LeAnn Rimes' Husband Files for Divorce

Deane Sheremet has filed for divorce from wife LeAnn Rimes, according to court papers obtained by People.

Sheremet cites "irreconcilable differences" and is asking Rimes to pay spousal support and his attorney fees, People reports. The couple have no children together.

Rimes, 27, and Sheremet, 29, separated in September after seven years of marriage. "After much thoughtful mutual consideration, Deane and I have agreed to move forward with dissolving our marriage," the country star said on her website. "This decision was amicable and we remain committed and caring friends with great admiration for one another."

The couple split following reports about the country singer's extramarital relationship with Northern Lights costar Eddie Cibrian. Since separating in September, Rimes and Cibrian are currently dating. Cibrian filed for divorce from wife Brandi Glanville in August.
