Are Katie Couric and Matt Lauer teaming up again?
The former Today show co-anchors are in discussions to launch a syndicated talk show, The New York Times reports.

The report comes a week after news broke of Couric's and Lauer's possible departures from their respective posts. Couric's CBS Evening News contract expires in June and she is widely expected to leave to start her own show. She told the Times last week that she and former NBC boss Jeff Zucker have been "discussing the possibilities" of a talk show.Meanwhile, Lauer is reportedly considering a Today exit when his contract expires on Dec. 31, 2012 — meaning any Couric and Lauer show won't premiere until 2013. According to the Times, Couric's new show would be expected to start in September.
