Mortdecai strikes again. Johnny Depp was officially named the most overpaid actor of the year by Forbes.

Thanks to flops such as Mortdecai and Transcendence, Depp's films returned $1.20 for every $1 he was paid. The second most overpaid actor, Denzel Washington, doesn't even come close to that grim return, with his movies making $6.50 for every $1 the star earned.

Get Hard star Will Ferrell wasn't far behind, with his films returning $6.80 for every $1 paid. And even the success of Taken 3 couldn't bump Liam Neeson from fourth place, with $7.20 for every $1. Will Smith followed with only $8.60 for every $1 paid to the Focus star.

Rounding out the top 10 are Christian Bale ($9.20/$1), Channing Tatum ($10.80/$1), Brad Pitt ($12/$1),Ben Affleck ($12.30/$1) and Tom Cruise ($13.60/$1).

Adam Sandler, who topped the list the past two years, was not eligible this year because Pixels was released after Forbes' June 2015 cut-off.
