John Travolta Cruise Ship Case Dropped

The attorneys for John Travolta and the man accusing the actor of improper sexual behavior on a cruise ship have agreed to drop the case, according to The Hollywood Reporter.

In June, Fabian Zanzi, a former Royal Caribbean cruise room attendant, filed a federal lawsuit against Travolta, claiming that in 2009 the actor stripped off his robe and pushed him. According to Zanzi, when he delivered food to Travolta's cabin, Travolta said, "Take me, I will take care of you, please." He also added that the actor offered him $12,000 to stay silent about the incident. Royal Caribbean confirmed that Zanzi was working as a room service phone operator in June 2009 on the Enchantment of the Seas ship, and that he resigned on May 18, 2011.

In response to the lawsuit, Travolta declared, "While I was indeed a passenger aboard the MS Enchantment of the Seas in or about June 2009, Mr. Zanzi's allegations in the Complaint are entirely false, including... a purported physical encounter with me and his allegations... regarding an alleged financial offer I made him. None of these events happened, and Zanzi's allegations are pure fabrication."

On Monday, just a few days after a judge denied Travolta's attempt to settle out of court, both parties agreed to drop the case.
