John McEnroe is bringing his A-game to TBS' new comedy Ground Floor. The famed tennis champion will play himself on an upcoming episode of the workplace sitcom, TVGuide.com has learned exclusively.
From Scrubs and Cougar Town creator Bill Lawrence, Ground Floor centers on a young successful banker named Brody (Skylar Astin) who falls for a beautiful woman (Briga Heelan) who works in the maintenance department.

McEnroe will appear as a client set up by Brody's boss Mansfield (John C. McGinley) to test Brody and Threepeat (Rene Gube). Considering McEnroe's well-known penchant for meltdowns during his sports career, this may be Brody and Threepeat's biggest hurdle yet.
Since his retirement from tennis, McEnroe has played himself in countless movies and TV series including 30 Rock, Curb Your Enthusiasm and Mr. Deeds.
Ground Floor premieres on Thursday, Nov. 14 at 10/9c on TBS.
