Jennifer Lopez on Returning to American Idol

Jennifer Lopez is returning to American Idol...at least for the May 16 season finale, where she will perform her new single, "Live it Up." "It's great to go back and see the old gang," she told TV Guide Magazine at the Nuvo TV upfront on May 15, where she was named the Chief Creative Officer for the Latino targeted, English-speaking network. "I do miss it. I had a great time doing Idol."

As for returning to the judges' table next season, "I don't know! When I say, 'I don't know,' people think, 'Oh, she's playing a game.' I'm not," Lopez said. " I really don't know. If it became really real where I had to make a decision, I would have to sit down and really weigh out the options of what my life looks like in the next year to see if I would sign. Because it does take up a lot of time, and I do have a lot of other things going on that I'm super excited about. So we'll see."

One thing she's excited about is her work with Nuvo, which will re-launch in July with her biography special. "I am involved in everything," Lopez says. "The look, branding, programming, development, distribution—in every single way I'm part of the network."
