Jamie Lynn Spears Pregnant at 16: "It Was a Shock," Says Britney's Kid Sis

Britney's kid sister, Jamie Lynn Spears (Zoey 101), is in a family way — and at the ripe, Keisha Castle-Hughes-esque age of 16. In an interview with OK!, Jamie Lynn reveals that she is 12 weeks along and that Casey Aldridge, her boyfriend whom she met at church (for whatever that's worth), is the babydaddy. "It was a shock for both of us, so unexpected," the AP quotes Jamie Lynn as telling OK! "I was in complete and total shock and so was he." "We respect Jamie Lynn's decision to take responsibility in this sensitive and personal situation," the cable network says in an official statement. "We know this is a very difficult time for her and her family, and our primary concern right now is for Jamie Lynn's well-being." Does the teen starlet have a message for her impressionable teen fans? "I definitely don't think [premarital sex is] something you should do; it's better to wait," she says in OK! "But I can't be judgmental because it's a position I put myself in." In what very well might be related news, a book that Spears' mother, Lynne, had in the works - about how she raised Britney and Jamie Lynn - has been "delayed indefinitely," a publisher's rep tells People, adding, "We are standing behind Lynne at this time and understand that she needs time with her family." What's your take? No Santa Claus, Jamie Lynn pregnant... who can we believe in anymore? And do you think Britney set the bar low for sis? POLL: Who's to blame here? Vote now.
