James Taylor is already a member of the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame, but he joined another elite -- but not quite as honored -- group of musicians when he messed up the National Anthem at Game 2 of the World Series.

Following in the footsteps of Christina Aguilera and Michael Bolton, to name a few, Taylor flubbed the song when he originally started singing "America the Beautiful" instead of "The Star Spangled Banner."

TMI! Celebs who overshare

Fortunately, Taylor quickly caught himself and after making a slightly sheepish face, went right into the correct song. "Best save in singing national anthem: James Taylor tonight during #WorldSeries," CNN's Chris Cuomo tweeted.

Taylor did get to sing "America the Beautiful" later on during the seventh-inning stretch. The St. Louis Cardinals wound up beating the Boston Red Sox 4-2 at Fenway Park. Game 3 airs Saturday at 8/7c on Fox from St. Louis' Busch Stadium.
