25 totally unnecessary spin-offs
Jack Coleman, who played HRG (Horn-Rimmed Glasses) aka Noah Bennett, is the first original cast member to sign on for the upcoming miniseries, Deadline reports. The mysterious HRG, who worked for The Company and was father to cheerleader Claire (Hayden Panettiere), quickly became a fan favorite and was promoted from recurring character to regular during the first season.
Little is known about Heroes: Reborn except that it will run for 13 episodes and air in 2015. In April, former cast member Panettiere said she had not been asked to join the miniseries. Deadline says Zachary Quinto, who played Sylar, and Milo Ventimiglia, who played Peter Petrelli, are not available for Heroes: Reborn.
Worst ways to go: The most outrageous TV deaths
Coleman recently had recurring roles on Burn Notice, Castle and The Vampire Diaries, and made a guest appearance on Scandal.
