Who's #UnderTheSheet on How to Get Away with Murder?

Are you ready for this? No turning back now. Last chance.

OK, the dead person is... Wes (Alfred Enoch)!

Yeah, the show pulled off one of its classic fake-outs again with a ton of time jumps. But like I mentioned, though Wes was shown to be alive on the night of the house fire two weeks ago, he wasn't seen with Bonnie (Liza Weil), Oliver (Conrad Ricamora) and the rest of the Keating 5 sans Connor (Jack Falahee) after the fire, leaving him a very viable candidate to be #UnderTheSheet.
How to Get Away with Murder boss on killing [SPOILER]: It was a "really painful decision"

So what happened? Annalise (Viola Davis) realizes that ADA Atwood (Milauna Jackson) has been investigating her and had hired Nate (Billy Brown) to tail Annalise. She falls off the wagon again, burns all her old files and ends up at Bonnie's, before sobering up and calling everyone to come to her house that night. Enraged after Annalise clues him in, Nate breaks up with Atwood and does some detective-ing at the police station, where Wes has been called in. The cops inform Wes that he's not there for the Mahoney case, but because of Annalise -- they have found Rebecca's body and the boyfriend is obviously a primo suspect.

What unfolds next is the immunity deal scene we all saw two weeks ago. But Wes doesn't actually rat out Annalise -- after listening to her voicemail asking him to come to her house, he sneaks out of the station while the cops are drafting the new deal.

Where does he go? Well, we don't know yet. All we see is later that night, when Nate enters Annalise's house, where the front door is slightly open, and calls out her name to no avail. Laurel (Karla Souza) then enters while texting Wes... and then the house blows up!
How to Get Away with Murder: The house fire victim speaks!

At this point, because of the time jumps, we're led to believe Nate is the victim, but he shows up at the morgue later to ID a half-burned Wes. The medical examiner doesn't have an official cause of death yet and Nate asks for the unofficial one, and yup, Wes was dead before the house went kaboom.

And yes, Wes is dead. But you haven't seen the last of him. Creator Peter Nowalk told TVGuide.com that the remaining six episodes of the season will focus on what the hell went down in the house before it exploded, so Wes is hanging around on your screen. Read our full interview with Nowalk here and our interview with Enoch here.
