Sex, drugs and rock & roll may be the oldest cliché since sliced bread, but it still looks pretty fascinating in a new trailer HBO released Monday for its series Vinyl.

This clip has everything: gratuitous drug use, shouting executives, sex, cool rock music, groovy retro outfits, someone smashing a guitar into a TV and, most thrilling, the names of two living entertainment legends in the credits.

Directed by Martin Scorsese and produced by Mick Jagger, Vinyl follows record label executive Richie Finestra (Bobby Cannavale) as he tries to save his struggling company amid the birth of punk, disco and hip-hop in 1970s New York. Judging by the trailer, Vinyl, which premieres on Valentine's Day, promises to be a helluva ride.

What do you think? Will you be tuning in to Vinyl?

Vinyl debuts Sunday, Feb. 14 at 9/8c on HBO.
