Some things never change
Netflix has released the first photos from the anticipated Gilmore Girls revival. And though it's been nine years, it doesn't appear as though much has changed in Stars Hollow.
Check out the photos below to get scoop on where your favorite characters are now.
Yes, Melissa McCarthy will appear in Netflix's Gilmore Girls revival
Rory (Alexis Bledel) and Lorelai (Lauren Graham) visit Miss Patty and Babette at a sign-in table for the Stars Hollow: The Musical auditions. Sutton Foster's unnamed character will eventually land the starring role in the historical musical.
Recently widowed Emily (Kelly Bishop) sits in the Gilmore family home. (Edward Herrmann, who played Richard Gilmore, died on Dec. 31, 2014.)
Rest easy, Gilmore fans. It appears as though Luke (Scott Patterson) and Lorelai are still going strong. Also, here's hoping Luke found time to wash that baseball cap sometime in the past nine years.
Rory has found her calling as a teacher who surprises no one by assigning her class Jane Eyre.
Emily and Rory chat at the drink cart, likely ahead of their traditional Friday night dinner.
Rory and Lorelai enjoy their usual spread: Chinese food, ice cream, Pop Tarts, Red Vines and, of course, coffee. The only question that remains is what they're marathoning that night.
Some things never change: Lorelai is still dragging Luke to town meetings. And based on the crowd's expression, Taylor (Michael Winters) is still saying crazy things at those meetings.
Gilmore Girls will return with four, 90-minute movies on Netflix later this year.
