FX has renewedThe Americans for a 13-episode fourth season, the network announced Tuesday.

Fall TV Scorecard: What's renewed? What's canceled?

"Remarkably, this season of The Americans has achieved even greater acclaim than that of its first two seasons," Nick Grad, FX's co-president of original programming, said in a statement. "The series has cemented it status with critics as television's best current drama and arguably the best show on TV, and we couldn't agree more."

Though it's never been a big ratings powerhouse for FX, The Americans - which stars Keri Russell and Matthew Rhys as husband-and-wife KGB spies - is one of the most critically acclaimed dramas on television and has a 92 rating on Metacritic.

The Season 3 finale of The Americans airs Wednesday, April 22 at 10/9c on FX.
