Fox has given a series order to Mulaney, a new ensemble comedy from comedian John Mulaney and Saturday Night Live showrunner Lorne Michaels.
Mulaney is the creator, writer and star of the show, which is based on his life and stand-up. The show revolves around Mulaney's coming-of-age in New York City as an aspiring comedian, surrounded by his boss, roommates and neighbors. Martin Short will also star as Mulaney's boss.

Mulaney recently appeared as a "Weekend Update" correspondent on Saturday Night Live and is also credited with co-creating the character of Stefon with Bill Hader.
The pilot episode of Mulaney will be directed by Andy Ackerman (Seinfeld, The New Adventures of Old Christine). Michaels will executive-produce.
