Fox's The Following isn't exactly a show known for its levity, but a hilarious new video indicates that the cast and crew at least know how to get some laughs in their downtime.

Star Kevin Bacon and producers Alexi Hawley and Marcos Siega recently teamed up to create "Funny AND Die," a parody video that pokes a little fun at The Following's bleak, brutal tone - and posits that Joe Carroll (James Purefoy) may have recruited Bacon's real-life wife, Kyra Sedgwick, as one of his followers. (Bonus points for the "Six Degrees of Kevin Bacon" reference.)

In addition to Sedgwick, Michael C. Hall, Dean Winters - who apparently "really thought Footloose was overrated" - and series regular Sam Underwood also appear in the short. And fans who've been missing James Purefoy from this season can get their fix as well ...
