How Did TVGuide.com Fare in Guessing Which Pilots Would Get Picked Up?

Nobody's perfect — but TVGuide.com came pretty darn close.

In our 3rd annual Promising Pilots feature, we guessed that Kevin Bacon and Connie Britton would make their way to our television screens in the upcoming 2012-2013 television season, and we were right.

Among our best guesses for possible new series included Mindy Kaling's new comedy The Mindy Project, which will debut this fall Tuesdays at 9:30/8:30c on Fox; CBS' Elementary, a modern take on the cases of Sherlock Holmes, airing Thursdays at 10/9c on the Eye; and The CW's Arrow, featuring DC comics superhero Green Arrow, which landed on the network's schedule Wednesdays at 8/7c.

Unfortunately, CW's The Selectionand NBC's Nic and Jendidn't quite make the cut — though CW is said to be retooling The Selection in hopes of a midseason or summer run. Eleven, with a possible 12, for 13 isn't too shabby.
